Shepherd Productions and MabLab Theatre presents:
The Empire Builders by Boris Vian
Chased by a persistent, unidentifiable noise, the Dupont family are rushed up a flight of stairs only to find their possessions, the size of their immediate room, and their family diminishing. As they scurry up this downward spiral, one thing remains consistent: a mysterious muted creature wrapped in bandages patiently awaits for them in the shadows.
In Boris Vian’s classic but little known work, The Empire Builders is a place where the only music is noise, where the child is the adult, where a man’s beard is a plant, and where one man’s existence is a reflection of all mankind.
